THE GOSPEL

The Good News of Jesus Christ

The gospel is not advice about self-improvement. It is an announcement of what God has already done for sinners through His Son.

The Gospel Message

God is holy, and He created us to know Him. Yet Scripture is plain that we have all turned aside; we have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Sin is not merely a mistake; it separates us from the God who made us.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16

Into that need God sent His Son. The Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, went to the cross, and there bore the judgment our sins deserved. He was buried, and on the third day He rose again, alive forevermore.

This good news calls for a response. Not religious effort, not good works, but repentance toward God and simple trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
